BARMING YOUTH U16s DO THE LEAGUE AND CUP DOUBLE!!! (07/05/08) BARMING YOUTH U16s DO THE LEAGUE AND CUP DOUBLE!!!. . The final game of the season was played at the Sutton Valance ground 07/05/08 against our closest rivals Senacre Dolphins. Barming needed a point to win the league but Senacre needed to win the game to also go on to take the title!.....Both teams started well and it was nip and tuck going in at 0-0 for the half time break. An early penalty appeal by Senacre was waved away and Barming began to press. JOSH LAKE man marked Senacre`s creative midfield player and when the ball fell to JOSH his shot took a deflection and looped up over the Senacre goal keeper.1-0 to the Barming and the crowd went wild ,(Lorraine J) led on this!!. With 15 mins to go Senacre pressed but got few chances to draw level. Then with 2 mins to go Senacre equalized but Barming hung on for the draw and the point needed to take the title.MAN OF THE MATCH;MATT PARKER was outstanding on the right wing.MATT rode the tackle, seemed to be everywhere and nearly got on the score sheet! ALL the Barming players gave everything when called upon and it was a fitting end to a great season.The champagne was popped and a quick rendition of Championes,Championes was sung!!!! U16s win Challenge cup! (19/04/08) Barming Youth FC U16s travelled to Tunbridge wells stadium for the final of the Challenge cup.Our opponents Vinters Park played their part in an excellent game that saw Barming take an early 2-0 lead through goals from Matt Terry and Martin Burgum.Vinters then pulled one back just before half time,the second half saw Barming having to defend hard with a reshaped back line as our Captain Jack Kairis took a knock and was unable after the interval.ALL the Barming Players dug deep,Brendan Russell was Man of the match.Well done to ALL and many thanks to the supporters who came and watched.
Race Night At Sittingbourne Dogs. (19/04/08) At last, the long awaited race night at Sittingbourne Dogs is here! Barming Youth Football Club have been booked in for Friday 13th June 2008. We have been on the waiting list since September 2007 due to this being an extremely popular event. Bring your football team along (perhaps for their end of year party)together with their family and friends.. Tickets are £6.00. The tickets include free entry and a race card. The demand for tickets has been VERY high so if you are interested we advise you to register and purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
