Grass Roots Football Live Exhibition

Last weekend some of the Barming Blues Under 13 players visited the Grass Roots Football Live exhibition at NEC, Birmingham. There were lots of useful tips for managers and coaches, exhibition games, seminars and product stands displaying the latest kit and equipment. And for those of us old enough to remember contributors included Peter Shilton, Graham Taylor, Lawrie McMenemy, Graham Poll, Jimmy Case, Dave Bassett, Alan Kennedy, Neville Southall, Paul Merson, Stan Bowles and Julian Dicks as well as Peter Taylor, Ian Holloway, Chris Kamara, Robbie Savage, Steve Claridge, Aidy Boothroyd and others.

Barming Vets win Blue Eagles Tournament

Congratulations to our Barming Vets team who won the Blue Eagles 5 aside Tournament on Saturday. Mrs. Jo said the guys were great! Having reached the semi final the game went to extra time - golden goal then to penalties - sudden death. But it was our goalie Mark Archer who made a spectacular save to put us into the final where Mick Bevan scored the winning goal. Other goal scorers were Colin (we probably won't hear the end of it) and Martin. The team were; David Garety, Rab McLeod, Ian Smith, Colin Shorter, Mark Archer, Martin Godfrey, Mick Bevan.

COme and enjoy a family fun day and watch the parents suffer as they attempt to play football. Fun for all the family with bouncy castles ice cream van feed the goalie and speed ball to name a few.
